Can You Tone Abs With an Electric Belt?

In a world where everyone wants that perfect body and they want to tone abs but nobody wants to do the work to get it, there are a variety of products on the market that claim to give you that body while you just sit around. They claim that you do not need to diet or exercise in order for their product to give you firmer, slimmer abs with no effort. Can you really tone abs with one of these devices?

The most popular form of equipment used to tone abs is the electronic ab belts. These belts send out electricity into your muscles, causing them to contract and release without you having to do the work of an exercise. Basically, they are electrocuting you, but does that electricity induced contracting of the muscles really give you a good workout?

Just like diet pills, ab belts are only useful as a supplement to regular diet and exercise. Zapping your muscles isn`t going to cause them to get stronger, and it isn`t going to remove any of the fat surrounding the muscles. Using these belts alone isn`t going to make much of a difference to your results.

When you work out your muscles, there are tiny tears that get made in the muscles, and it is when these tears heal that the real muscle building happens. It is also when these tears heal that the muscle gets stronger. When you use an ab belt, the electrical current could help these tears heal faster, which will speed up the muscle building process. However, using the belt on its own will not work because the tears will not be there to heal.

Ab belts can be cheap, or they can be expensive. You can get pretty simple ones for around twenty dollars, while the more advanced ones that work more muscles could cost several hundred dollars, easily.

If you are considering purchasing one of these belts in the hopes that it will give you a six pack and help you tone abs with no effort, you are sadly mistaken. However, if you plan to use it as a supplement to your regular exercise routine, it may be well worth it for you to purchase one. These belts can be great for helping improve your overall fitness levels as long as you use it as it is intended.

Regular exercise is necessary if you want to improve muscle mass, or tone your muscles. If you don`t make the effort to make those muscles move, then they are not going to get any stronger, and the fat around them cannot be simply “zapped” away. By improving your overall fitness levels through diet and exercise, you can improve your abs at the same time.

If you want tone abs, you will need to put in the effort of regular exercise and a healthy diet. Using an ab belt can improve your results, but they will not create results for you.
